Chicken Shashlik Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 500 gms boneless chicken(cut into medium cubes)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp dark soya sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1/2 cup tomato ketchup
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1/4 tsp ajinomoto
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 green pepper(shimla mirch, cut into 6 cubes)
  • 1 tomato(cut into 6 cubes)
  • 1 onion(cut into 6  cubes)
  • 4 bamboo skewers
How to prepare Chicken Shashlik:
  • Marinate chicken pieces by adding salt, black pepper, sugar, ajinomoto, mustard powder, dark soya sauce, vinegar, garlic paste, one tbsp of tomato ketchup and chilli powder. Marinate it for 1 hr.
  • Soak bamboo skewers for atleast 1 hr before cooking.
  • Place the marinated chicken pieces one by one onto the skewers and add veggies in between.
  • Preheat oil in a pan and place the skewers on the pan, fry it until the chicken is cooked.
  • While serving, add tomato ketch up and little butter on top of each skewer.
Taddahh... chicken shashlik is ready to serve. Have it with hot chicken fried rice.
