Ingredients:
- 3 cups chickpeas
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon chilli powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 4 to 5 dry red chillies
- 3 tbsp lemon
- 4 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp garlic paste
- 30 gms cumin seeds
- 10gms mustard seeds(raayi)
- 5gms fenugreek seeds(methi)
- 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida(hing)
- 1/4 teaspoon fennel seeds(sounf)
How to prepare Chick Peas Pickle Recipe:
- Soak chickpeas overnight, remove all the excess water and pressure cook it for 10 min.
- In a pan add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, red chillies and saute it until the colour changes.
- In a blender grind all the sauted ingredients and make a fine powder.
- Preheat oil in a pan, add garlic paste cook it for 2 min and switch off the gas.
- Add the grinded mixture into the pan, add salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, asafoetida, fennel seeds and lemon juice.
- Finally add cooked chickpeas into the mixture and mix it thoroughly.
