Ingredients:
Taddahh... chocolate rolls are ready to serve, have it as a tea time snack.
NOTE: Chocolate rolls should be served warm as it tastes better.You can also use melted chocolate instead of cocoa powder.
- 2 cups plain flour
- 1 egg
- 40 gms butter
- 15 gms dry yeast(fast action)
- 3 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
- Mix flour with sugar, salt, dry yeast, butter and warm milk.
- Make a soft dough, cover it with a soft cloth and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Meanwhile take a bowl and mix one teaspoon butter with sugar and cocoa powder.
- Mix it thoroughly to form a smooth chocolate paste.
- Once the dough has doubled in size, knead it for 5 min to make it more soft.
- Make two portions of equal size.
- Take a rolling pin and roll one part of dough like a round thin chapati.
- Fill the chapati with chocolate paste and wrap it tightly.
- Take a knife, cut the wrapped chapati into 4 equal portions.
- Repeat the same procedure for the second portion dough.
- Before baking brush the chocolate rolls with egg wash for extra shine.
- Preheat the oven at 190 degree and roughly bake it for 15 min.
